Sponsor Hayden M Wetzel has been supporting Lyudmila Ivanovna, one of beneficiaries of the "Babushka Adoption" Foundation for the last 9 years.
The fate of this babushka was very difficult. She was born in 1938 in Leningrad city (Russia) and grew up in an orphanage. Fortunately, in 2002, she applied for support to the charitable Foundation “Babushka Adoption”, where she got to know and then personally met with her sponsor Hayden M Wetzel, who finally visited his beneficiary in 2009, having arrived from Washington DC, USA. For 9 years they have been very good friends, Lyudmila Ivanovna always writes letters to her sponsor, and he is happy to answer them and sends small gifts on holidays to Lyudmila Ivanovna. On the eve of the new year 2012 Hayden M Wetzel decided to congratulate babushka in a special way and gave her a wonderful two-compartment refrigerator. For Lyudmila Ivanovna it was a real Christmas gift. Babushka Ludmila was so touched she broke into tears, as she was absolutely alone in this world, but her eyes were sparkling with happiness, because it's so great to realize that there is a person who cares about you ... .
