Babushka Adoption

A charitable concert devoted to the International Day of the Elderly was held on 30th September in the Historical Museum Hall with the participation of young and talented artists of Kyrgyzstan. Babushka Adoption Foundation, with the participation of gerontology network AgeNet, organized the concert. Our beneficiaries were able to listen to Soviet retro and modern music. Omurbek Andarbekov, Talgar Jakshylykov, Islam Akmatov, and Zaira pleased the elderly with their outstanding talent, and they were specially thanked by Babushka Adoption Foundation. Also the children's band “Jash Kiyal” expressed its respect to the elderly.
The atmosphere in the concert hall was so emotional and friendly that even the elderly wanted to dance. Organizers of this event tried to pay special attention to each old person and presented them with greeting cards, and babushka-volunteers (activists) were awarded with merit certificates. This event was special for the elderly, as they have few opportunities to visit such cultural events.
