Lunch for the elderly

In the last quarter of 2011, the beneficiaries of Babushka Adoption Foundation got an opportunity to gather on Sundays and enjoy hot meals provided by Church of Jesus Christ in Bishkek. Every Sunday charitable hot meals for needy people are cooked in the building of the former cultural centre named after Lenin. A team of 6-8 people works in the kitchen and serves every person with great love and care. The menu consists of pasta with a topping–following a special recipe the cook adds various vegetables according to the season–meat rissoles, salad and several pieces of newly-baked rye-bread. According to the babushkas, the food is delicious and moreover it is not fatty, since many beneficiaries suffer from illnesses where this point is not insignificant. Besides hot meals, employees of the foundation try to provide the elderly with medicine, clothes and food.
