1.    On January 15, 2011, Subaru Customs Service held the fundraising event “SUBARU DAY 2” under the motto “Let’s make this world a kinder place – any contribution is welcomed!”. The technical personnel of the Subaru automobile service centre rendered diagnostics services to all Subaru owners for free. The owners in turn donated clothes, food or money. All donated clothes and food, which were plenty, were given to representatives of the charity fund Babushka Adoption to distribute to the elderly.

Babushka Adoption charity fund expresses its thanks first of all to the organizers of the fundraiser as well to all those who participated and supported our elderly.

2.    Special support was provided by participants of the online public forum Diesel. A new topic, devoted to the problems and needs of elderly Kyrgyz, was opened on October 29, 2010, on www.diesel.elcat.kg in the charity section. Thanks to this forum, many people in Kyrgyzstan learned about Babushka Adoption and how they can support needy elderly men and women. As a result of a joint effort by participants of the forum in January 2011, 5 elderly women and 1 elderly man were “adopted”. For the next 6 months they will receive monetary assistance collected by the participants and guests of the forum. Also warm clothes (fur-caps, coats, boots, sweaters), blankets, pillows and medicine were presented.

Babushka Adoption charity fund expresses its gratitude to the moderators of the forum as well as to those who responded and helped vulnerable and needy people.

3.    As of February 2011, making contributions to the elderly in need is now possible via terminals at Shmel internet clubs. All donated money will go to supporting the elderly, who will be able to buy food, medicine and pay for public utilities. Due to your contributions they will have a chance to live better!
Babushka Adoption charity fund expresses its gratitude to the administrators of Shmel internet clubs as well as to those who contribute money and support our elderly.

4.    In December 2010, the organization Alliance Product “adopted” two elderly people. According to the director of the organization, a picture they saw on the internet (www.diesel.elcat.kg), of a 94-year-old old woman being spoonfed by social workers of the charity fund, really touched their hearts.

Workers at Alliance Product congratulated their “adoptees” on the forthcoming 2011 New Year and presented them with boxes of biscuits and 5 kg of noodles. It was a real joy for the elderly people, as not all of them can afford sweets. Most of their money is spent on medicine. That is why employees of Alliance Product succeeded in bringing a small part of happiness to their lives.

Babushka Adoption charity fund expresses its gratitude to the administration and employees of Alliance Product and wishes them happiness and success in their work.
